The Grandson of Chun Doo-hwan Who Exposed the Slush Fund... An Unexpected Daily Life of Paying Hospital Bills with Delivery Part-Time Wages

[Financial News] Jeon Woo-won, the grandson of the late Chun Doo-hwan, who exposed allegations of a slush fund tied to the Chun family and apologized to victims of the 5.18 pro-democracy movement, has been revealed to be making a living through part-time work packing parcels and loading and unloading delivery trucks.
According to online communities and YouTube on the 27th, Jeon shared his daily life working at a logistics site through his YouTube channel, "Not_found."
In the video, Jeon took rice balls he had received at an early-morning worship service and headed to his workplace, which was about 1 hour and 20 minutes away by public transportation. He is responsible for packing ordered books and products at an e-commerce logistics center and loading them onto delivery vehicles.
Jeon explained, "On average, more than 500 to 600 books are shipped out every day, and I personally handle loading and unloading delivery trucks that arrive two to three times a day." He added, "Including lunch, I stand and work for eight hours a day."
Jeon also said this was his first experience working under a labor contract in Korea. "I had opportunities to work at several places in the past, but after causing such a major incident, I am grateful just to be able to work like this now," he said. "That is why I want to do my best even more."
However, he is suffering from severe back pain due to the unfamiliar physical labor. Jeon said, "I used to do only office work, but once I started using my body, the pain became severe. I received treatment at a Korean medicine clinic and even had an MRI scan." He added, "I spent a week's worth of part-time wages on the examination fee, but fortunately they said there was nothing seriously wrong. The doctor advised me to look for another job, but I plan to keep going."
In March 2023, Jeon exposed allegations of a slush fund involving the Chun family through social media and internet broadcasts, and declared that he would renounce his inheritance. After returning to Korea, he visited the May 18th National Cemetery in Gwangju and knelt down to apologize to the bereaved families, saying, "My grandfather committed a grave sin against 5.18."
Jeon, who confessed to using drugs and was sentenced to two years and six months in prison, suspended for four years, is now working to become self-reliant while also carrying out drug addiction prevention activities and producing a webtoon about his family history.
