Gijang County Urban Management Corporation Donates 2 Million Won to Support Flood Victims in Geoje

[Financial News] The Gijang County Urban Management Corporation in Busan Metropolitan City Government said on the 27th that it donated 2 million won on the 26th to support the recovery of flood victims in Geoje and help them return to their daily lives after heavy rain damage.
The corporation previously designated the donation to Geoje through the Gyeongsangnam-do Provincial Branch of the Korean Red Cross. The funds will be used to support residents affected by the flooding and to help restore damaged areas.
The donation was funded through an employment incentive grant for people with disabilities, which the corporation received after achieving a 5.68% disability employment rate last year, exceeding its mandatory hiring quota by 1.88 percentage points.
By reinvesting the results achieved through expanded employment of people with disabilities into support for disaster-hit areas, the corporation is putting social value into practice by linking employment with giving.
Acting Chairperson Kim Soo-geun said, "I extend my deepest sympathy to the residents of Geoje who were affected by the heavy rain." He added, "I hope this donation will be of some help in helping affected residents return to their daily lives and in restoring the damaged areas."
