The Shilla Seoul to Host Gugak Performance and Dinner at Yeongbingwan Banquet Hall During Chuseok Holiday

[Financial News] The Shilla Seoul will present a performance combining traditional Korean music and modern music, along with a Korean dinner, at Yeongbingwan Banquet Hall during the Chuseok holiday.
According to The Shilla Seoul on the 27th, it will operate "Heritage Collection - Full Moon" at Yeongbingwan Banquet Hall from September 24 to 26. The program is designed so guests can enjoy a traditional music performance and a Chuseok dinner together.
The performance will take place in the courtyard of Yeongbingwan Banquet Hall. The band 2nd Moon, known for blending gugak with world music, will take the stage for three days and collaborate with different vocalists each day. On the 24th, O Dan-hae, a former grand prize winner in the pansori category at the Jeonju Dae-saseupnori, will join the show. Yu Tae-pyung-yang will perform on the 25th, and Kim Junsu, the grand prize winner of the KBS Traditional Korean Music Award, will appear on the 26th.
The program will begin with a welcome drink reception, followed by a dinner buffet and a gugak crossover performance. The dinner buffet will feature a separate selection of Chuseok-themed Korean dishes, including Yeosu stone octopus with minari vinegar dressing, grilled ribs, steamed abalone and shrimp, and ssambap. Desserts made with brown rice and omija will also be served.
In addition to champagne, wine and dessert wine, six kinds of alcoholic beverages, including makgeolli, will be offered with the meal.
Yeongbingwan Banquet Hall, where the event will be held, was established in 1967 for major state events and is a signature facility of The Shilla Seoul that reflects traditional Korean architecture. The Shilla Seoul planned the event to reflect the recent expansion of interest in K-culture into traditional arts, combining Yeongbingwan Banquet Hall, gugak and Korean cuisine.
A Hotel Shilla official said, "Yeongbingwan Banquet Hall has long welcomed distinguished guests from home and abroad and has continued its tradition of hospitality." The official added, "For Chuseok, we prepared this event so guests can experience Korean culture through gugak performances and Chuseok dishes together."
