Three Gyeonggi Province residents among those missing in Nepal floods... Choo Mi-ae says, "We will take every possible support measure"

In response, Gyeonggi Province Governor Choo Mi-ae said she would pursue every possible support measure at the provincial level to confirm whether the residents are alive and to secure their safety.
According to Gyeonggi Province on the 27th, contact was lost with nine Korean workers from Korea South-East Power Co., Ltd. and Doosan Enerbility after a sudden flood hit the mountainous region of north-central Nepal on the 26th.
Among them, the missing residents of Gyeonggi Province identified so far include two people living in Yongin-si and one person living in Hwaseong City.
In a post on social media on the same day, Gyeonggi Province Governor Choo Mi-ae said, "It has been confirmed that some of our citizens who lost contact in the massive flood in Nepal are residents of Gyeonggi Province." She added, "We will first confirm the safety of our residents, and if any support is needed, we will take every possible measure at the provincial level."
Governor Choo also said, "Above all, I sincerely hope for the safe return of those who are missing, and I extend my deepest sympathy to the families who must be anxiously waiting for news." She added, "Although local rescue conditions have become extremely difficult, I ask the government’s Joint Rapid Response Team, which will be dispatched urgently, to devote all its capabilities to search and rescue."
Gyeonggi Province plans to maintain a hotline with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and related agencies, while monitoring the situation of affected residents in real time and swiftly activating support for the families of victims as well as any necessary administrative assistance measures in line with local rescue developments.
