[Financial News] Innogrid has selected the generative AI work tool Claude as its companywide standard AI tool. The company is making a large-scale, organization-wide investment in AI, including support for licenses so all employees can use it at work. At the same time, it aims to improve product development productivity and transform internal business processes. The move appears to be accelerating efforts to build an AX-centered work environment inside the company.
According to industry sources on the 27th, the rollout is not just about providing access to generative AI. It is part of a broader AX investment designed to connect AI with real gains in product competitiveness and work productivity. Innogrid plans to measure productivity improvements in development and business processes rather than focusing on AI usage rates or login counts. Based on those results, it will decide the future scope and direction of AI use. The company says it wants to show how a firm that builds AI infrastructure can internalize and verify AI in actual operations.
The newly launched AX Innovation Task Force will operate on two tracks: the Innovation Development Team, which will focus on improving development productivity and quality for the company’s solutions, and the AX Innovation Team, which will drive process innovation in non-development departments. Kang Seung-eok, head of the center, will lead the task force, while Park Chang-won, vice president, will serve as deputy head.
The Innovation Development Team will focus on the R&D organization and use generative AI for repetitive tasks such as coding, testing and technical documentation. The goal is to improve development efficiency and allow developers to concentrate on work that requires expert judgment, such as architecture design, code review and security and performance checks. Through this, the company aims to shorten development lead times and raise productivity, while also improving the quality and market responsiveness of its cloud and AI solutions.
The AX Innovation Team will promote process innovation across non-development departments, including sales, consulting, business planning, management support and communications. It will use AI for repetitive and time-consuming tasks such as proposal writing, helping employees focus on core work such as analysis and decision-making.
Rather than pushing many small automation projects, Innogrid plans to identify three flagship AX initiatives based on companywide impact, measurable results and the likelihood of visible progress in the near term, and then focus resources on those projects.
Performance will also be measured not by simple AI usage frequency, but by key productivity indicators. For development teams, the company will compare pre- and post-adoption results using metrics such as shorter development lead times, sprint throughput and quality pass rates. For non-development teams, it will focus on time saved across business processes. It also plans to assess return on investment based on saved time and the cost of introducing AI.
After operating the AX Innovation Task Force for about three months, Innogrid will review the results of AI adoption through a CEO performance review in November. It will evaluate outcomes based on preset productivity KPIs and ROI, then decide whether to expand or adjust the scope of AI use.
Innogrid’s plan is to expand AX from automation that simply makes the same work faster, to improvements that raise the quality of work and products, and ultimately to a transformation that changes the way people work itself.
Kim Myung-jin, CEO of Innogrid, said, "The introduction of AI licenses for all employees and the standardization of AI across the company go beyond simply adopting a tool. It is a strategic companywide investment to secure future competitiveness and enhance corporate value." He added, "We will create tangible results in both product development and business process innovation, and spread proven methods across the company. We will grow into an AX company that internalizes AI not only in technology and business, but also in the way we work."
