[Financial News]  Korea Growth Investment Corporation (K-Growth) is launching a tailored funding-matching program for fintech startups by connecting investors and companies in advance. The focus is on moving beyond simple investor relations sessions and one-off networking, and instead matching each startup’s business area with investors’ areas of interest to improve the chances of securing actual investment.
According to the investment banking and venture capital industries on the 27th, K-Growth will host a "Fintech Startup 1:1 Investment Meetup" at Korea Fintech Week 2026, which will be held on Nov. 26 at aT Center in Yangjae-dong, Seoul. Applications for participating companies will be accepted until Oct. 26.
The key feature of the program is "pre-matching." Based on each startup’s business model, growth stage and funding needs, K-Growth will connect them with specialized investors in relevant fields and arrange individual consultations. The event is designed to make investment discussions more concrete than the usual networking format, where investors are met at random.
In particular, the program stands out for using the investor network of the Fintech Innovation Fund, which was created with policy capital, as well as private venture capital firms, as a financing channel for early-stage fintech companies.
Last year’s meetup drew about 25 specialized investors, including managers of the 708.8 billion won Fintech Innovation Fund. A total of 99 investment consultations were held at the time.
In the venture capital industry, there is growing recognition that, in a market where investment sentiment is moving selectively, precise matching between companies and managers with real investment potential has become more important than simply increasing the number of contacts between investors and startups.
One venture capital industry official said, "For startups, it reduces the time and cost of contacting multiple investors one by one, while investors can selectively meet companies that fit their investment strategies," adding, "The key is not the event itself, but how much it leads to actual investment reviews and follow-up meetings."
Meanwhile, this investment meetup is open not only to fintech startups but also to companies interested in the fintech sector. K-Growth plans to conduct one-on-one consultations between investors and companies on the day of the event after completing the pre-matching process.
