JLK announced on the 27th that it has registered a patent for an "AI-based Cloud System for Improving Stroke Treatment Workflow. " The key lies in reducing information disconnect between local hospitals and regional centers.
Patient information from local hospitals, medical images such as CT scans, and AI analysis results are transmitted in real-time to medical staff at regional centers via the cloud. While the patient is being transported, medical staff at the regional center can review the images in advance and begin treatment preparations, such as assembling the procedure team.
While existing stroke AI focused on image interpretation and diagnostic assistance, this technology is characterized by connecting diagnosis, transport, consultation, and treatment preparation into a single workflow. The system analyzes medical images using multiple AI models to determine the patient's urgency and prognosis.
When a patient with a high level of urgency is detected, it immediately sends an alert to medical staff, who can then view images and analysis results on mobile devices or PCs, or engage in real-time consultations. Industry observers note that competition in medical AI is expanding beyond algorithmic accuracy to integration with actual clinical processes.
In particular, it is observed that connecting AI analysis results between hospitals allows for the expansion of business scope beyond the supply of individual solutions to a regional stroke care network.
A JLK official explained, "This technology goes beyond AI analysis to connect local hospitals and regional centers to enhance the efficiency of diagnosis, transport, and treatment preparation," adding, "We will continuously advance the AI-based stroke care environment.
