LS-LIG Join Hands to Expand Electric Bus Charging Infrastructure

[Financial News] LS Group announced on the 27th that LS E-Link, its electric vehicle charging infrastructure subsidiary, and Dong-A Electcom, a power systems specialist under LIG Group, signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on the 26th to build electric bus charging infrastructure and expand the charging market.
The partnership is part of the agreement LS and LIG Group signed in March last year to share core capabilities and resources across defense, power, energy, communications and other industries. By joining forces with LS E-Link and Dong-A Electcom, which LIG Group acquired last year to foster future growth engines, the two groups are expected to sharpen their push into the eco-friendly mobility infrastructure market.
The signing ceremony, held at LS Yongsan Tower in Seoul, was attended by key officials from both companies, including Kim Dae-geun, CEO of LS E-Link; Noh Jin-bok, head of management strategy; Guk Chan-ho, CEO of Dong-A Electcom; Choi Jae-hoon, head of the Future Energy Business Division; Jang Yong-jun, head of the EV Strategy Team; and Ryu Ji-hyun, head of the LIG Strategy Planning Office.
The agreement was designed to combine LS E-Link's infrastructure construction and operations capabilities with Dong-A Electcom's power conversion technology. The two companies plan to jointly build stable, high-output charging infrastructure centered on bus depots and focus on developing next-generation charging models for large mobility platforms.
Areas of cooperation include building electric bus charging infrastructure for transport operators nationwide, expanding the supply of 240-kilowatt high-output charging solutions, cooperating on charging infrastructure operations, monitoring and maintenance, and jointly developing next-generation charging models based on large mobility platforms.
Kim Dae-geun, CEO of LS E-Link, said, "Through this partnership, we will create synergies with Dong-A Electcom, which has outstanding technology in the charger sector, and provide customers with a higher level of eco-friendly charging services."
Meanwhile, LS E-Link is the country's largest commercial vehicle charging operator, with a customer base of more than 5,000 fleet vehicles, including buses and taxis, secured through long-term contracts with major transport companies nationwide. Based on years of accumulated operating data and expertise, it provides an integrated service covering everything from charging station design to high-voltage, large-capacity charging operations and unified maintenance.
