PUAC Busan Dong-gu Council Holds 2026 Third-Quarter Regular Meeting

[Financial News] The Peaceful Unification Advisory Council (PUAC) Busan Dong-gu Council, chaired by Kang Young-ja, announced on the 27th that it held its "2026 Third-Quarter Regular Meeting" on the 26th in the main conference room of the Dong-gu Office in Busan, with 42 participants including Dong-gu district chief Kang Chul-ho, Dong-gu Council chair Kim Jae-hun, and advisory members.
The meeting consisted of an opening ceremony, a session to gather opinions on unification under the theme "Reflection and Alternatives for Practicing a Policy of Peaceful Coexistence on the Korean Peninsula," a progress report on the "1 Million Citizen Interviews for Peaceful Unification" campaign, and discussions on the council's key projects and second-half business plans.
Council chair Kang Young-ja said, "To achieve peaceful coexistence on the Korean Peninsula, it is important to listen to the diverse voices of the public and broaden support for peaceful unification in the local community," adding, "I hope the advisory members will play an active role on the ground in their communities."
The advisory members exchanged views on easing tensions between the two Koreas, restoring trust, and building sustainable peaceful coexistence. They also shared opinions on ways to encourage broader participation in and expansion of the "1 Million Citizen Interviews for Peaceful Unification" campaign.
They also shared the council's major project plans for the second half of the year, including "Bukjak Bukjak Kitchen," "Walk Together Toward Peace," and "A Street Where Peace Becomes Everyday Life, Unification Empathy ON," and called for active participation to help spread support for peaceful unification in the local community.
The PUAC Busan Dong-gu Council said it plans to continue working to expand support for peaceful unification in the local community through a range of peace and unification activities with residents.
