Drunk Family Causes Disturbance at Restaurant... Granddaughter Gets a Nosebleed, Mother Slaps Grandfather

[Financial News] A drunken family’s outburst at a dog-friendly pub escalated from a quarrel with other customers into violence within the family. The granddaughter ended up with a bloody nose, and the child’s mother slapped her own father several times.

On the 26th, JTBC's Scandal Supervisor reported on what a couple identified as Mr. A, who has been running a dog-friendly pub in Suwon for about six months, experienced.
According to Mr. A, the family that visited the restaurant on the night of the 23rd consisted of a couple in their 30s, their young daughter, and the woman's father. All three adults were heavily intoxicated.
As the drinking continued, the child kept harassing the place, even kicking Mr. A's doghouse inside the shop. When Mr. A asked the child's mother to "please be a little careful," she suddenly lashed out, saying, "This place has no manners at all." The child's father, who was shouting, "Who did that?" also hurled profanity and rolled up his shorts to show off his tattoos.
The shouting continued, and the faces of nearby customers gradually hardened. When Mr. A asked, "I'm sorry. What can we do to make this right?" the woman shouted, "Don't run a business like this. Why won't you even let our child touch the dog? Why are you treating our child like this?"
A customer at the next table stepped in, saying, "Please stop. Didn't the owner already apologize?" The woman then cursed at that customer as well, saying, "Who do you think you are, you XXX," and during the argument, she shoved the customer in the chest hard enough to make a loud thud.
However, the woman's father defended his daughter, who had used violence, and shouted, "Touch my daughter and I'll kill you."
Police were dispatched to the chaotic scene. Even after seeing the officers, the woman's father did not calm down and kept swearing, saying, "Why do Koreans call the police over such a small matter?"
While flailing his arms in anger, he accidentally struck his granddaughter in the face, causing her nose to bleed. Seeing this, the woman became enraged and slapped her father several times. Even then, the father did not stop causing trouble, and several police officers rushed in, pinned him to the floor, and handcuffed him.
The son-in-law tried to persuade the police, saying, "I will talk to my father-in-law." The police then told Mr. A to file a complaint later and released the family.
But just 10 minutes after being released, the family returned to the restaurant, pointed fingers, and continued hurling insults. Mr. A immediately called the police again, and the second incident ended without a major clash.
Mr. A also claimed he was harmed during the incident. He said, "At the time, the woman's father repeated 'I'll kill you' about 50 times for nearly an hour. I was also hit on the back of the neck by the woman's father."
The customer who was shoved by the woman has now filed a criminal complaint against the family for assault. Mr. A and his wife have also filed complaints on charges of threats and are considering filing a separate complaint for obstruction of business.
Mr. A worried about retaliation. He said, "Through the police, I learned that the family lives near the restaurant, and since the woman kept filming my wife and me at the time, I'm worried they may come back for revenge."
Mr. A's wife, who has been under heavy mental strain, has also moved up the restaurant's closing time because of her anxiety.
