According to KNN NEWS on the 25th, a post offering safety advice for trips to Jeju Province, which had been uploaded online, is being shared again after the bodies of missing people were found there in quick succession.
The post was reportedly uploaded to an online community in 2021.
The writer identified themselves as a Jeju resident. Citing quiet places that are rarely visited even on weekdays, the writer advised, "It is best to avoid visiting remote areas alone or with only other women."
At the time, it was seen as a general safety reminder for people preparing to travel to Jeju Province. But after the bodies of missing people were found one after another recently, internet users who revisited the post reacted by saying, "It looks chilling now" and "Back then, I thought it was just travel advice."
Past safety accounts from trips to Jeju Province are also spreading again. Seong Hyun-woo, a singer who appeared on Produce 101 Season 2, said on his YouTube channel in February, "I almost got murdered in Jeju," and revealed that in 2021 a man threatened him with a weapon in Jeju Province.

Meanwhile, four missing people were found dead in Jeju Province over the past three days. On the 24th, the body of Jang Mi-ran, who went missing in May, was found at a palm tree farm in Hallim-eup, Jeju City. That same day, another missing person was discovered near a valley in Aewol-eup. On the 22nd, a man in his 60s was found dead in Songdang-ri, Gujwa-eup. On the 23rd, a man believed to be in his 70s was found dead in the waters near Sinheung-ri, Jocheon-eup.
