[Financial News] President Lee Jae Myung issued an emergency order on the 26th, saying, "After receiving a report that a South Korean national participating in the construction of a hydropower plant in Nepal had gone missing due to flooding, mobilize all available means and make every effort to search for and rescue the missing person, with the lives and safety of our citizens as the top priority."
Kang Yoo-jung, senior presidential spokesperson at Cheong Wa Dae, said this in a media notice that day.
Lee also urged, "Work closely with the Nepalese government and local authorities, do everything possible to support the missing person's family, ensure the safety of our citizens staying at the site, and make every effort to prevent further damage."
