Bomb Threat Email Sent to Incheon District Court...Police Search Finds No Explosives

[Financial News, Incheon = Han Gap-su] Police searched Incheon District Court after receiving a bomb threat email, but found no explosives.
According to the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency and Incheon District Court on the 26th, the court received an email to its general civil service mailbox saying, "I will blow up Incheon District Court," and reported it to police at around 9:17 a.m.
The email reportedly said the court would be bombed between 1:34 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on the 26th.
Police deployed 37 officers, including special forces officers from the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency, along with detection dogs to search for explosives, but found nothing unusual.
The email was reportedly written in a manner similar to the terror emails from Japan that have continued to appear since 2023.
With police assistance, Incheon District Court tightened security checks and proceeded with its scheduled trials without disruption.
Meanwhile, bomb threat emails were also sent to Gwangju High Court and Cheongju District Court that day, and police are investigating.
A police official said, "The email appears similar to the threat emails sent from Japan," adding that "the investigation will be handled by the task force at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency in charge of public threats."
