[Financial News] Homeplus is launching a third special sale to keep customers coming back after reopening. The company is focusing on discounts for grocery staples such as Korean beef, Korean pork, eggs, and seafood, centering on products that drew strong responses during the two-week "Homeplus is Back" promotion, as it seeks to secure momentum for recovery.
According to the industry on the 26th, Homeplus will hold the third "Homeplus is Back" special sale starting on the 27th. The event was designed around products that received strong customer responses during the previous promotion, as a way of thanking shoppers who returned to the stores after reopening.
For My Homeplus Membership members, all items of Korean beef and Korean pork, including Ilpum Pork, will be sold at discounts of up to 50%. Frozen crabs from the Cold-Water Shock line are also included in the promotion.
A separate promotion has also been prepared to ease the burden of egg prices. Homeplus will offer limited quantities of U.S.-made white fresh eggs. Frozen pork belly from the Bomukdwae line will also be sold at discounted prices during the event. Extra-large abalone and Busan-style salted mackerel will likewise be offered at reduced prices.
Promotions for fruits and vegetables will also be held. All peach products, Yeongam figs, early-season apples, and all domestic grape products are eligible for discounts. Korean potatoes and peeled garlic are also included. Discounts on daily necessities such as cooking oil and toilet paper will also be offered.
From the 27th to the 30th, Homeplus will also offer additional coupon discounts to members of the My Homeplus app. During the promotion period, customers can receive coupon discounts if they pay a certain amount or more with one of four major credit cards and present the barcode in the My Homeplus app.
A Homeplus official said, "For Homeplus to succeed in its recovery, it is most important that customers continue to visit our stores and buy more products," adding, "We have prepared a wide range of products and large discount events so that customers who visit Homeplus with expectations will be satisfied."
