[Financial News] Kakao Games will release the action-slash PC online game 'Path of Exile 2' on December 12.
Kakao Games said it has set the official release date for Path of Exile 2, developed by Grinding Gear Games, for December 12. Ahead of the launch, it will open global pre-registration and unveil the new class, 'Duelist,' on the 26th.
Grinding Gear Games announced the launch schedule and opened the global pre-registration page at Gamescom Opening Night Live, the eve event of the global gaming show Gamescom 2026. Users can sign up for pre-registration by entering their email address on the page until the official release.
A separate pre-registration verification event will also be held for domestic users. Those who complete global pre-registration and upload a verification image to the Kakao Games event page will be entered into a drawing for limited-edition figures, mugs, and desk pads.
The event also introduced the new class, 'Duelist.' Duelist is a melee combat class that uses swords and is characterized by fast-paced battles that seamlessly link consecutive attacks with a variety of stances.
Path of Exile 2 combines the build customization typical of the hack-and-slash genre in the original game with the action RPG appeal of hands-on gameplay. It previously ranked No. 1 in global sales on Steam after its early release.
