[Financial News] NH Nonghyup Card is joining forces with eco-friendly energy company E1 Corporation to improve payment services at charging stations and develop card products for environmentally conscious customers.
NH Nonghyup Card said on the 26th that it signed a business cooperation agreement (MOU) with E1 Corporation at LS Yongsan Tower in Yongsan District, Seoul, on the 25th.
The signing ceremony was attended by officials from both companies, including NH Nonghyup Card Vice President Jeong Young-seon and E1 Corporation Sales Division Head Kim Soo-geun. Through the agreement, the two sides decided to strengthen cooperation on improving payment service efficiency, expanding customer benefits, and building eco-friendly payment infrastructure.
First, they will simplify the authorization and settlement procedures for card payments made at E1 charging stations. By streamlining the payment process, they aim to reduce operating costs and provide a more stable payment environment for customers using the stations.
They will also launch a co-branded card aimed at users of eco-friendly vehicles. NH Nonghyup Card plans to introduce an "eco-friendly integrated affiliate card" that combines benefits related to Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), electric vehicle (EV), and hydrogen charging in a single card. The focus is on offering practical discounts for eco-friendly vehicle drivers.
The two companies are also pushing ahead with a plan to link their points programs. They plan to build a system that allows NH Points and Orange Points to be exchanged and used at Nonghyup Hanaro Mart, E1 charging stations, and other locations.
Cooperation in the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) field will also continue. As their first joint activity after the agreement, the two companies will promote a campaign to save energy and boost consumption of domestic agricultural products, joining forces for eco-friendly management and community coexistence.
NH Nonghyup Card Vice President Jeong Young-seon said, "Through strategic cooperation with E1 Corporation, we have been able to innovate the payment process and deliver differentiated value to customers." She added, "We will continue to combine the strengths of both companies to expand the eco-friendly payment ecosystem and work to improve customer convenience and benefits."
