"From the Seoul metropolitan area to the entire country"... GS25 expands Next Day Courier delivery area

[Financial News] GS25 has expanded its next-day delivery service, Next Day Courier, from the Seoul metropolitan area to the entire country.
According to the industry on the 26th, GS25 has expanded the number of Next Day Courier drop-off locations to more than 9,500 stores in the Seoul metropolitan area, more than tripling the previous number, and will now operate the service nationwide instead of limiting it to the capital region. Some areas, including Jeju Province and remote island or mountainous regions, are excluded.
Next Day Courier guarantees delivery the following day for parcels dropped off by 5 p.m. on weekdays and by noon on Saturdays. The company said the service has grown by about 400% as of July this year compared with its launch period after debuting in December last year, prompting the expansion. To mark the broader rollout, GS25 will also run a discount promotion through the end of this month.
GS25 also operates other services, including its half-price parcel service, where customers drop off and pick up parcels at stores; Pickup Service, in which a courier visits the customer to collect the item; and international shipping. The half-price parcel service handles an average of 1 million shipments per month.
Lee Kyung-han, an MD on the service products team at GS Retail, said, "We have expanded the service area for Next Day Courier nationwide to better serve customers who want faster delivery." He added, "We will refine the service process in detail and improve satisfaction for niche demand."
