National Museum of Korea to Host September 'K-Food Book Talk'...Humanities Seen Through Food Heritage

[Financial News]  A book talk exploring the history and culture of Korean food, as well as the emotions it carries, will be held.
The National Museum of Korea said on the 26th that it will hold "Book Talk: Meeting Museum Exhibitions Through Books" at 2 p.m. on the 16th of next month in the museum library's donated books room.
The program will be linked to the ongoing special exhibition "The Korean Table: Food, Nature, and Life" and will focus on the theme of "Korean Food Humanities Through Food Heritage."
The lecture will be delivered by HaeKyung Chung, professor emerita in the Department of Food and Nutrition at Hoseo University. She will examine the history and culture of Korean food and highlight the emotions embedded in it. Chung is a researcher and culinary expert on Korean food, and has written humanities series books related to Korean cuisine, including "The Humanities of Rice," "The Humanities of Vegetables," "The Humanities of Meat," "The Humanities of Seafood," and "The Humanities of Seasonings."
The program is open to 20 members of the public, and a Q&A session with attendees will follow the lecture.
Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis through Modu, the National Museum of Korea's education platform, from 10 a.m. on the 7th of next month to 6 p.m. on the 11th.
