[Financial News] Shinhan Investment & Securities is launching a service that lets users check earnings conference calls of U.S.-listed companies in real time.
Shinhan Investment & Securities said on the 26th that it will launch the 'Earnings Call Live' service on 'Shinhan Super SOL,' the integrated app of Shinhan Financial Group Co., Ltd.
An earnings call is a conference call in which company executives explain quarterly results, major business achievements and future outlooks to investors and analysts. Most earnings calls for U.S.-listed companies are conducted in English, making it difficult for domestic investors to understand the content in real time.
'Earnings Call Live' provides real-time voice recognition and AI-based Korean translation and interpretation features, making the content easier to follow. It also offers AI analysis of key remarks and major issues, while allowing users to view key disclosure data such as sales and operating profit on a single screen. The service also includes user participation features that let customers check other investors' opinions and vote directly on company outlooks.
'Earnings Call Live' will initially be offered for major companies by market capitalization and U.S. stocks that draw strong customer interest. The first service will be NVIDIA Corporation's second-quarter earnings call, scheduled for the early hours of the 27th Korea time.
The service can be accessed through a banner in the 'Stocks' menu on Shinhan Super SOL. Users can also access it through a pop-up when launching the Shinhan SOL Securities app and through notices on the home screen.
A Shinhan Investment & Securities official said, "We have introduced real-time AI translation and analysis features so customers can easily and quickly check earnings announcements from U.S. companies without language barriers," adding, "We will continue to improve customer access to and convenience of a wide range of investment information."
