According to JTBC's Scandal Supervisor on the 26th, a former journalist and YouTuber identified as A reported that he witnessed some Korean visitors eating at the foot bath area of Kamado Jigoku, a famous tourist spot in Beppu, Japan, on the 22nd.
Kamado Jigoku is a popular destination for Korean travelers, known for its Japanese-style soda, Ramune, and hot spring eggs cooked in the spring water. However, eating inside the foot bath area is strictly prohibited to maintain hygiene and manage the facility.
At the scene, multilingual signs warning against eating were posted throughout the area, and announcements were being broadcast in Korean. Still, the Korean group ignored them, took their seats in the foot bath area, and began cracking open and eating eggs.
