GeoYoung said on the 26th that it had released the "2025 GeoYoung Sustainability Report." The report was prepared to summarize ESG activities and achievements centered on its key businesses, including pharmaceutical distribution, 3PL and 4PL logistics, and hospital GPO services, while also strengthening communication with stakeholders such as customers, employees, partners, medical institutions, and local communities.
The report was based on the GRI Standards, the international sustainability reporting framework, and its credibility was enhanced through third-party verification under AA1000AS v3.
GeoYoung conducted a Double Materiality Assessment (DMA), which analyzes both the impact of corporate activities on the environment and society and the impact of ESG issues on management, and selected eight key issues.
The company identified "stability of pharmaceutical supply and business continuity management" as its top priority. It focused on strengthening distribution network management and crisis response capabilities so medicines can be supplied reliably to pharmacies and hospitals.
It also highlighted distribution quality and customer trust, information and personal data protection, health and safety and working conditions, win-win cooperation with partners, and responsible supply chain management as major ESG tasks.
GeoYoung also unveiled its mid- to long-term ESG roadmap. The company plans to advance its ESG management in four stages by 2035. It aims to establish an ESG management system by 2027 and put in place a KPI-based evaluation framework by 2030 before expanding it across its entire business.
Cho Sun-hye, chair of GeoYoung, said, "Pharmaceutical distribution is directly linked to public health and the stable operation of medical settings, so expectations for social responsibility are growing." She added, "We will treat ESG not as a simple management activity, but as a core management principle for achieving sustainable growth and social responsibility."
