Woongjin ThinkBig Launches Reading Solution KRS, Tailored to Ability and Temperament Rather Than Age

[Financial News] Woongjin ThinkBig has launched a reading solution that moves away from grade-based, one-size-fits-all book recommendations and instead analyzes a child's literacy and tendencies in detail to suggest personalized books.
On the 26th, Woongjin ThinkBig unveiled KRS (Korea Reading System), a customized reading growth solution for preschool and elementary school students. KRS is a system that diagnoses a child's actual reading ability, psychological temperament, and preferences, then manages the entire process from book recommendations to building reading habits.
The core of the new solution is data-driven precision. Woongjin ThinkBig used more than 10 years of accumulated reading data and over 820,000 Korean vocabulary data points to divide reading levels into 12 stages. In particular, it worked with Professor Kim Han-saem of Yonsei University's Graduate Program in Linguistics and Information Science to apply a book difficulty model that reflects 47 indicators, including vocabulary difficulty and sentence structure.
After the assessment, students are placed at the appropriate level and receive customized coaching based on eight temperament types, along with book recommendations matched to their preferences. Parents can also use reports to systematically track their child's reading tendencies, changes in reading level, and activity history.
Woongjin ThinkBig will begin a free KRS assessment campaign for preschool and elementary school students through a dedicated page starting Sept. 1.
