The performance will be held twice: at 7:30 PM on the 28th and at 3:00 PM on the 29th. Based on 'Taegiyusa,' a historical record related to Mt. Taegi in Hoengseong, this work reinterprets the unrecorded lives and memories of the people through modern physical language, combining them with local sentiment.
Focusing on stories passed down through the village and the human body that are not preserved in books or records, this performance unfolds "unfading memories" through dance. The stage presents a unified ensemble of three pieces completed by choreographers Lee Go-eun, Kim Beom-su, and Jeong Da-eun, each from their own unique perspective.
They unfold distinct bodily languages under the themes of: a new journey beginning from a rift, a presence always remaining by our side, and a flow leading to repetition and transformation. Notably, this performance departs from the conventional method of viewing the stage from the audience seats.
The space has been expanded from the lobby of the Hoengseong Culture and Arts Center to the main hall and the stage itself, allowing the audience to experience the choreographers' movements up close. Admission is free for all seats, and tickets can be reserved in advance via Naver Reservations.
This work was produced with support from the Gangwon Cultural Foundation's 2026 Performing Arts Group Development Support Project. This project is being promoted to support the stable creation of local arts groups based on cooperation between theaters and performing arts organizations in the province, and to foster the development of high-quality content and the revitalization of theaters.
Shin Hyun-sang, CEO of the Gangwon Cultural Foundation, stated, "It is meaningful in that stories and memories accumulated in the region, such as the legend of Mt. Taegi, are revived as new works through the hands of artists," adding, "We will provide support to ensure that local theaters and arts groups grow together and that creative works containing stories unique to Gangwon are consistently produced.
