[Financial News] KT Corporation said it will broadly apply artificial intelligence (AI) to areas closely tied to daily life, including education, shopping, search, housing and finance, through the government's "Everyone's AI" project. Working with companies such as MUSINSA, Zigbang and EBS, it plans to launch AI services that anyone can easily use in everyday life.
KT said MUSINSA, Zigbang, Daum, Educational Broadcasting System (EBS), Mathpresso, Saltlux, BC Card and DeepSearch will join the Everyone's AI KT consortium. The company plans to combine AI technology with each firm's user base and service touchpoints to upgrade existing services and expand access to AI.
In education, KT will work with EBS and Mathpresso to advance AI-based learning services. Mathpresso's AI learning platform, QANDA, has accumulated about 97 million users at home and abroad, with around 8 million monthly active users. The consortium plans to deliver more personalized education services by introducing hyper-personalized learning features.
In shopping, it will add personalized recommendations and conversational AI features to MUSINSA, a fashion platform with about 17 million users. The company aims to improve shopping convenience by suggesting products that match users' tastes and needs.
In search, housing and finance, KT will cooperate with Daum, Zigbang, BC Card, Saltlux and DeepSearch. It is reviewing ways to use AI in each company's core services, such as helping users quickly find the information and news they want or collecting and analyzing real estate data to support decision-making.
KT emphasized that it is pursuing the popularization of AI by increasing its use within everyday services people already use, rather than having them seek out separate AI services on their own. Based on its full-stack AI strategy, which spans domestic AI semiconductors, AI models, platforms, cloud and networks, the company expects to help build an AI ecosystem that people can actually feel in their daily lives.
