[Financial News] Korea Investment Management's 'Korea Investment Income-Generating ETF Accumulation Monthly Dividend Fund' has paid its first monthly distribution since launch. The product invests in a diversified range of income-generating exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and seeks monthly cash flow. Its assets under management are also nearing 10 billion won.
Korea Investment Management said on the 26th that the Korea Investment Income-Generating ETF Accumulation Monthly Dividend Fund, launched in July, paid its first distribution on the 25th at about 0.70%.
The cumulative assets raised across the Korea Investment Income-Generating ETF Accumulation Fund series currently stand at 9.3 billion won. The firm said inflows have recently increased as market volatility has widened and investors seek stable returns and regular cash flow.
The product is an EMP fund that Korea Investment Management directly selects and manages through ETF investments. It spreads investments across a range of income-generating ETFs, including covered call, high-yield, high-dividend and broad bond funds, to reduce volatility while pursuing stable returns.
Another feature is that the portfolio is rebalanced every month to reflect market conditions. Investors can also allocate up to 100% of their Defined Contribution Retirement Pension (DC) and Individual Retirement Pension (IRP) accounts to the fund. It is currently available through Woori Bank, Kyobo Securities, Korea Investment & Securities and KB Securities, and the company plans to expand distribution channels further.
Kim Dong-hyun, head of the Global Quantitative Investment Division at Korea Investment Management, said, "In an environment where market volatility is rising and geopolitical risks remain, it is becoming harder for individual investors to select high-quality income-generating ETFs on their own." He added, "This fund can serve as an efficient investment alternative that allows diversified exposure to a range of income assets through a single product."
He also said, "Going forward, we will continue to focus on ETFs with strong dividend consistency to provide steady income benefits."
