SEMAS to Support Smart Technology Adoption Tailored to Store Conditions, Up to 7 Million Won

Financial News — The Small Enterprise and Market Service is recruiting additional small business owners to participate in the 2026 Smart Store Technology Dissemination Project for Small Businesses, aimed at improving management efficiency and strengthening digital competitiveness.
According to SEMAS on the 26th, the project supports the introduction of smart technologies such as barrier-free kiosks, restaurant service robots, and digital signage at small business stores in response to the spread of non-face-to-face and digital consumption environments.
Smart stores can receive government funding for up to 70% of the technology adoption cost. Support is divided into purchase, rental, and software-based types depending on how the technology is introduced. However, common technologies such as electronic whiteboards and digital signage are supported at up to 50%, while individual small business owners using the software-based type can receive full support.
For the purchase type, general technologies are supported up to 5 million won, while barrier-free unmanned information terminals can receive up to 7 million won to improve accessibility for vulnerable groups such as older adults and people with disabilities. The rental type is supported for up to 3.5 million won per year for a maximum of two years, and the software-based type is supported up to 300,000 won per year over the same period.
Business owners with disabilities, simplified taxpayers, and one-person self-employed workers are eligible for preferential treatment, with the government support ratio expanded to 60% to 80%.
Applications can be submitted online through the Smart Store website until Sept. 30.
