[Financial News] Ahead of the 2026 Seoul International Fireworks Festival, which will be held next month around Yeouido Hangang Park, the seat package at Starbucks Yeouido Hangang Park, a popular viewing spot, sold out just 30 seconds after sales began.
According to Newsis News Agency and others on the 25th, Starbucks Korea launched a package at 3 p.m. that day for advance reservations of seats at the Yeouido Hangang Park store on the 5th of next month, when the 2026 Seoul International Fireworks Festival will take place.
The package, designed for two people, was divided into the Golden View Zone and the Silver View Zone depending on seat location relative to the pier entrance, and sold for 300,000 won and 200,000 won, respectively. Reserved seats can be used from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. for up to three and a half hours.
Located on the third floor of the Hangang Bus Yeouido Pier in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, Starbucks Yeouido Hangang Park is widely regarded as one of the city’s top fireworks viewing spots. Last year, Starbucks also operated some seats at the store on a reservation basis to coincide with the fireworks festival, and all seats priced at up to 200,000 won were sold out. This year, even though the top price rose to 300,000 won, all 27 packages prepared were gone in just 30 seconds after sales opened.
The package includes drinks, merchandise such as tumblers, and food items. Set 1 of the 300,000-won Golden View Zone, which offers a direct view of the Han River, includes a Star Lager, a La Americano, two types of tumblers, two umbrellas, Via and Origami, and five food items. Set 1 of the Silver View Zone, which has a partially restricted view, includes a cocktail (pink grapefruit rum tonic), an Americano, two types of tumblers, one umbrella, Via, and four food items.
In addition, Starbucks Korea plans to give all customers who reserve seats on the day of the event a special gift on site.
A Starbucks Korea official said, "To prioritize the safety of customers and partners visiting the store on the day of the event and to reduce congestion, we decided to operate a seat reservation system only during the fireworks viewing hours." The official added, "We also prepared the package to help customers enjoy the fireworks festival more fully by offering a special giveaway in addition to the drinks, food, and merchandise set equivalent to the payment amount."
Meanwhile, on the day of the event, the store will remain open for regular walk-in use until 4:30 p.m. without a reservation.
