According to the Korea Authority of Land & Infrastructure Safety on the 25th, the council held the '2026 Second-Half Public Institution Safety Council Workshop' for two days starting on the 24th at the Land & Infrastructure Safety Training Institute in Gimcheon, North Gyeongsang Province. The workshop was a follow-up to a memorandum of understanding signed in June.
The council includes 11 organizations, including the Korea Authority of Land & Infrastructure Safety and the Korea Road Traffic Authority (KoROAD). On the first day, the organizations presented and shared their best practices in safety and health at the 'Safety and Health Festa.' The selected cases, chosen through judges' reviews and votes by the participating organizations, will be compiled into a casebook and shared with the signatory and related institutions.
On the second day, the group conducted tailored consulting for partner companies, reviewing their current safety and health management systems and suggesting areas for improvement. It also carried out virtual reality (VR) safety training.
The workshop focused not only on sharing each institution's safety management know-how, but also on helping improve on-site management systems at partner companies.
Director-General Park Chang-geun said, "I hope the best practices and experience shared at the workshop will spread to each institution's workplaces and lead to safe worksites free of serious accidents."
