[Financial News] Hancom has begun work to apply its self-developed Agentic OS to Namyang Dairy Products' business operations. Moving beyond simply supplying AI solutions, the company will directly build an operating system inside the company that is optimized for the use of AI agents.
Hancom announced on the 25th that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Namyang Dairy Products at Hancom Tower in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, to cooperate on the Agentic OS project. After supplying AI solutions to BGF Group, Hancom is now also providing Agentic OS to Namyang Dairy Products, raising expectations that its AI transformation business targeting manufacturing and distribution companies will gain momentum.
At the center of the partnership is Agentic OS, which integrates multiple AI agents, corporate data, and business systems into a single operational framework. The two companies will apply it to Namyang Dairy Products' actual work environment and verify its business innovation effects through a Proof of Concept (PoC).
The PoC will be based on real data and workflows from Namyang Dairy Products' frontline departments. Hancom plans to design AI agents optimized for the company's work environment to support repetitive and standardized tasks, shorten processing time, and maximize productivity.
Based on the PoC results, the two companies will define the business areas where the system can be applied and outline future cooperation. They plan to gradually expand its use starting with verified areas, while Namyang Dairy Products also aims to accelerate its frontline-centered AI transformation through the partnership.
The MOU is drawing attention because it involves testing Agentic OS in a real industrial setting before its official launch. Hancom plans to closely analyze how AI agents are applied in actual work and what effects they produce, then use those findings to improve Agentic OS and industry-specific agent models. Its goal goes beyond organizing corporate data and building a knowledge search base, aiming instead to deliver practical work innovation led by AI agents.
Hancom has expanded its business footprint as an AI transformation partner for public institutions and state-run companies such as the National Assembly, Korea Western Power, and Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power, as well as private conglomerate BGF Group, by promoting individual AI solutions such as Hancom Assistant and Hancompedia. With its data and knowledge assetization experience from BGF Group now joined by the Agentic OS pilot case with Namyang Dairy Products, the company expects to secure a series of key references for developing industry-specific AI agents and innovating enterprise work systems. In particular, it plans to accelerate domestic and overseas expansion by releasing beta and commercial versions of Agentic OS in the fourth quarter.
Hancom CEO Kim Yeon-su said, "Hancom Agentic OS is an AI platform that fundamentally redesigns a company's work environment itself." He added, "Through this partnership, we will refine customized AI agent models for each industry, including manufacturing and distribution, and actively expand new business opportunities for large and mid-sized companies at home and abroad."
