LG Innotek Steps Up Global Talent Hunt in the U.S., Targeting Physical AI and Advanced Packaging

[Financial News] LG Innotek is accelerating its efforts to secure global talent in order to strengthen the competitiveness of its future businesses.
LG Innotek said on the 25th that it recently held Inno Connect, an overseas recruitment event, at the InterContinental Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. Inno Connect is a hiring-linked event where LG Innotek invites outstanding students from leading U.S. universities to introduce its vision and technological leadership. The company has hosted the event annually in the United States since 2024.
This year’s event was attended in person by CTO Minjyon and other key executives in charge of LG Innotek’s R&D. About 30 master’s and doctoral candidates, as well as experienced professionals, from 16 major U.S. universities, including Stanford University, the California Institute of Technology, Yale University, and the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), also took part.
The participants’ main research areas included physical AI, including robotics and autonomous driving, advanced packaging, and next-generation optics, all of which are closely tied to LG Innotek’s future growth engines. Recently, LG Innotek has been upgrading its business portfolio by focusing on its high-growth, high-profit physical AI business and semiconductor substrate business.
At the event, LG Innotek researchers introduced the latest technology trends and R&D status in each participant’s field of study, drawing strong interest. Participants also deepened their understanding of the company’s technological competitiveness, talent development philosophy, and various support programs for professional growth through an AMA session, where they could speak freely with executives.

Meanwhile, to strengthen its global business capabilities, LG Innotek actively runs a Global Internship program every year for foreign students and Korean students enrolled in universities and graduate schools in and outside Korea. Outstanding interns are offered full-time positions. In addition, LG Innotek’s strategic production base in Vietnam has signed Memorandums of Understanding (MOU) with major local universities, including Hanoi University of Science and Technology and HCMUTE, and is operating various hiring-linked programs such as contract-based academic departments, internships, and career counseling.
