Donation Angel Lim Young-woong Says, "Help Flood Victims in the Name of Hero Generation"

[Financial News] Singer Lim Young-woong, together with his agency Mulgogi Music, has donated 200 million won in the name of his fan club, Hero Generation, to help residents affected by the recent heavy rains in the southern region. The star once again lived up to his reputation as a "donation angel."
According to the Community Chest of Korea on the 24th, the donation sent by Lim Young-woong will be used for emergency relief, temporary housing support, disaster recovery, and efforts to help residents in southern areas, including Geoje and Tongyeong in South Gyeongsang Province, through the Community Chest of Korea's "2026 Heavy Rain Disaster Special Fundraising" campaign.
The heavy rains have made daily life difficult for many residents in the southern region. In response, Lim Young-woong included his concern for neighbors who may have lost precious belongings in the sudden downpour and are going through anxious times, along with his hope that they can return to peaceful daily lives as soon as possible.
Since 2021, Lim Young-woong has consistently made donations on his birthday, during holidays, and in times of disaster. Including this latest contribution, his total donations through the Community Chest of Korea have reached 2.5 billion won. When combined with the 200 million won he personally delivered to Korea University Medical Center on his birthday this year, his cumulative donations amount to 2.7 billion won.
As the artist's steady acts of kindness are joined by the voluntary participation of fans, a culture of giving created by stars and fans together is becoming an example for many. In Geoje, one of the areas hit by the recent heavy rains, "Hero Generation Geoje" also donated to a local welfare foundation to mark Lim Young-woong's 10th debut anniversary.
Lim Young-woong's 10th debut anniversary, made more meaningful through sharing, will also continue with performances and new music. From the 4th to the 6th of next month, he will hold a solo concert, "IM HERO - THE STADIUM 2," at the main stadium of Goyang Stadium in Gyeonggi Province.
The Community Chest of Korea is running its "2026 Heavy Rain Disaster Special Fundraising" campaign until the 15th of next month to support residents and affected areas in the southern region hit by recent heavy rains. Donations can be made through the dedicated account listed on the Community Chest of Korea's website.
The Community Chest of Korea has supported the recovery of disaster victims' daily lives through special fundraising campaigns whenever large-scale natural disasters have occurred. To help with heavy rain damage, it raised 12.9 billion won in 2023 and about 17.5 billion won last year, using the funds to support affected areas and disaster victims.
