It’s Been 14 Years Since Her Commercial Model Days... The Samsung Refrigerator That Has Kept Actor Han Ga-in’s Home Running

[Financial News] Samsung Electronics is drawing attention after sharing a long-term use case involving actor Han Ga-in, who once served as a model for the company’s advertisements. Han has been using a refrigerator she bought herself for 14 years after her modeling work with Samsung Electronics, and she is still using Samsung products for most of her major home appliances, including her refrigerator. 
Samsung Electronics released an interview about Han Ga-in’s Samsung refrigerator use on its newsroom on the 25th. Han said she worked as a Samsung Electronics model for about eight years, from 2005 to 2012, and added that she still uses Samsung products for most of her home appliances, including her refrigerator. 
The refrigerator Han is using now is also a Samsung Electronics product. She said, "Its minimalist design blends naturally with the kitchen interior, and even after 14 years, it still looks refined." After-sales service, which helps maintain performance over the long term, is another important factor. She noted, "When a large appliance breaks down, daily life can come to a standstill. Samsung Electronics provides reliable after-sales service, so I feel more at ease when buying." 
She described it as "a refrigerator that has shared our family’s history," especially since it stored breast milk for her two children and ingredients for homemade baby food. She also said she was satisfied with its insulation and storage performance, recalling that even when a fire in the lower floors of the building caused a blackout for more than a day, the frozen ingredients inside remained safe. 
More recently, she has shown interest in food management features that use artificial intelligence (AI). Samsung Electronics’ 2026 AI refrigerator uses "AI Vision" to recognize ingredients and packaged food labels and manage expiration dates. It also offers a "FoodNote" feature that analyzes ingredient consumption patterns and suggests recipes and items to buy. Han laughed as she said, "When I go grocery shopping, I often forget what I already have at home and end up buying it again. If the refrigerator could track that and let me know, and even recommend meal ideas based on the ingredients left over, it would reduce unnecessary spending and stress."
