The 16-Year-Running Rock Musical 'Prison' Comes to Jeju... Ha Jun-seok to Play 'Axl'

Former Ulala Session member Ha Jun-seok will play 'Axl,' the vocalist and eldest member of the rock band, presenting a performance that blends live music with comic acting.
According to Seolmundae Women's Cultural Center in Jeju Special Self-Governing Province on the 24th, the musical 'Prison' will be staged at 5 p.m. on Sept. 19 at the center's theater as a special performance for 'Seolmundae Culture Day.'
'Prison' was inspired by an episode involving the world-famous rock band Guns N' Roses. It humorously tells the story of three young men who form a rock band to pursue their dream of becoming singers, only to end up in prison after an unexpected incident.
Built around rock music, the production moves quickly and combines the actors' playful performances with unpredictable twists. It has enjoyed a long run since its premiere in 2010.
In the Jeju performance, Ha Jun-seok will appear as 'Axl.' He will take on the role of the band's vocalist and the eldest of the three young men, showcasing his singing ability and stage energy.
The performance will run for 90 minutes. It is open to Jeju residents aged elementary school and older, and the 400 seats will be reserved.
Tickets will be available from 10 a.m. on Sept. 2 until 6 p.m. on Sept. 16 through Interpark NOL Ticket and its customer center. Each person may purchase up to five tickets, and admission is 10,000 won for all seats. Booking fees are extra.
The show is part of the 'Seolmundae Culture Day' program, which Seolmundae Women's Cultural Center holds on the third Saturday of every month. The center has continued to offer cultural and arts programs, including special performances and lectures, from March through November this year.
