On the 24th, Busan Bank said it held the launch ceremony for its "AI Crew" on the 21st at its headquarters in Nam District, Busan. Through the initiative, the bank aims to expand an AI-driven work culture and strengthen employees' AI capabilities and productivity.
The ceremony was designed to announce the AI Crew's full-scale activities and, in connection with the Microsoft 365 Copilot pilot project, foster a culture in which employees actively use AI in their daily work.
Busan Bank has organized the AI Crew with at least one employee from each headquarters department, for a total of about 90 staff members. The crew will apply AI tools such as Copilot to their actual work and identify ways to improve efficiency in tasks such as document writing and data analysis. They will also share their experience, cases and know-how with fellow employees.
Starting with the launch ceremony, Busan Bank plans to run M365 and Copilot training sessions and prompt workshops for the AI Crew through December. It also plans to operate a range of programs, including task-based mission challenges, department-specific AI mission challenges and a hackathon to discover AI use cases.
In particular, the program is not limited to simply introducing new AI technologies. Instead, it will encourage frontline employees to apply AI directly to their work, verify the results and then spread those practices throughout the organization.
Busan Bank expects the AI Crew to become the starting point for change in each department and help create practical AI use cases unique to the bank.
Meanwhile, Busan Bank is promoting a Microsoft 365 Copilot pilot project. The bank is not only establishing an internal AI work culture, but also applying AI to customer services. Last month, Busan Bank became the first regional bank to introduce an "AI voicebot counseling service."
