On the 24th, the Korea Authority of Land & Infrastructure Safety said the certification links its psychosocial risk management system with its existing occupational health and safety management system (ISO 45001). The agency explained that it has built an integrated safety and health framework that manages not only workers' physical safety but also mental health and psychological stability.
ISO 45003 is an international standard established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in 2021. It supports the systematic management of psychosocial risk factors such as the work environment, organizational culture and job stress, while helping organizations build systems to protect workers' mental health.
The Korea Authority of Land & Infrastructure Safety has conducted risk surveys of all executives and employees and has been operating tailored support programs based on the results, including psychological counseling, healing programs and mental health education.
Park Chang-geun, president of the Korea Authority of Land & Infrastructure Safety, said, "We must secure not only the safety of our members, but also their health and psychological stability." He added, "We will continue to work to systematically manage psychosocial risk factors and foster a healthy organizational culture."
