[Financial News Sinan = Reporter Hwang Tae-jong] Sinan County will offer a special 17% discount on 1004 Island Sinan vouchers throughout September to celebrate Chuseok.
 To ease the financial burden on residents amid high inflation and to invigorate the local economy, the county has raised the discount rate on the vouchers from 12% to 17%.
 Sinan County expects the special discount to help ease household spending while also boosting local consumption. It also hopes the measure will increase sales for traditional markets and small businesses that are expecting a holiday-season boost.
 The county also plans to strengthen inspections of illegal distribution practices to establish a sound circulation order for the vouchers. If illegal cash exchanges, fake transactions or other improper activities are detected, it will take strict action under relevant laws.
 A county official said, "We hope this special voucher discount will help residents ease some of their financial burden and enjoy a warm and generous holiday with their families." The official added, "We will continue to do our best to promote local spending through the vouchers and provide practical support for small businesses and the local economy."
