[Financial News] YouTuber Oliver Grant, who has 2.25 million subscribers, reflected on the death of his stepfather from pancreatic cancer and described the shocking U.S. medical system.

The video featured Oliver Grant and his wife. In it, Grant recalled his stepfather, who died in February after battling terminal pancreatic cancer, and spoke about the U.S. medical system.
Grant said, "Access to hospitals was poor, and when my father finally saw a doctor, they basically told him, without any tests, 'You probably have a problem in your stomach. Drink salt water and rest,' and sent him home."
His wife added, "He had actually been showing symptoms for quite some time, but in the U.S., you have to see a primary care doctor first and get approval before you can get tested. The primary doctor initially said it seemed like indigestion."
"As a Korean, I was shocked by the advice to 'drink salt water and rest.' It broke my heart to think of my father-in-law, who was in pain but had to walk out helplessly," she said.
At the time, the couple did not yet know that his father had terminal pancreatic cancer, so they could only pray that he would recover after drinking salt water.
Grant recalled, "My father was the pillar of our family. Even when he was diagnosed with cancer, he did not cry. He simply said, in a calm and matter-of-fact way, that everything would be okay."
