Türkiye's President Urges Trump to Keep Talking with Iran

[Financial News] Türkiye's President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan strongly urged U.S. President Donald Trump to keep dialogue between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran going in order to ease tensions.
On the 17th local time, Sky News reported that in a phone call made on the day the 60-day temporary ceasefire between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran expired, Erdoğan said Türkiye was willing to provide government-level support for efforts to establish peace in the Middle East.
The two leaders discussed not only bilateral ties but also broader Middle East and regional security issues. They also exchanged views on the war in the Gaza Strip and the recently signed defense agreement among Türkiye, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
Erdoğan also voiced concern, saying that Israeli attacks on Palestine's Gaza Strip were intensifying just as the second phase of Trump's peace plan was supposed to take effect.
