"South Korea Is a Key Partner": U.S. Secretary of State Sends National Liberation Day Message

United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio issued a congratulatory message for National Liberation Day of Korea on the 14th (local time).
In his press statement, Rubio said, "On behalf of the U.S. government, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the people of South Korea as they celebrate their national holiday."
He stated that "over the past 70 years, the United States and South Korea have built their alliance on shared values, mutual trust, and an unwavering commitment to each other's security and prosperity." The statement went on to say that "a historic new era in bilateral relations has opened," adding that "following President Donald Trump's historic state visit to South Korea last fall, the United States and South Korea are deepening cooperation on a wide range of issues, including economic security, critical minerals, and shipbuilding."
Rubio said, "The United States takes great pride in standing with South Korea, our key partner, and in continuing efforts to expand prosperity and support the special people-to-people ties that bind our two nations together."
He concluded the message by saying, "I hope this day of celebration will be one of great joy and lasting peace."
