"As if Grabbing Their Chests..." Man Who Sexually Harassed More Than 8 Women While Pretending to Play in Outdoor Pool Identified

[Financial News] A man in his 30s of Syrian nationality has been arrested after sexually harassing people while pretending to play in an outdoor swimming pool. At least eight victims have been confirmed, including a teenage student.
According to JTBC News on the 13th, a report was filed on the afternoon of the 9th that a foreign man was sexually harassing women at an outdoor pool in Dongducheon, Gyeonggi Province.
A lifeguard at the pool described what he saw, saying, "He was splashing water and fooling around, then acted as if he were grabbing the women's chests."
The pool operator urgently broadcast a warning, saying, "Do not make physical contact," but the man ignored it.
About 200 vacationers were at the pool at the time. The lifeguard kept a close watch on the man, and more than 15 cases of physical contact were identified. In the end, eight victims reported him to the police, including a minor in their teens.
The man tried to change clothes and leave, but was stopped by the lifeguard. He was arrested at the scene and claimed, "I was just playing in the water."
Vacation spots such as swimming pools and beaches continue to suffer every summer from sex crimes, including molestation and illegal filming.
The court ordered the man's arrest, citing concerns over evidence destruction and flight risk.
