Homeplus to Reopen 67 Stores on the 13th, Hold Discount Sale Through End of Month

[Financial News] The 67 Homeplus stores that had been temporarily closed will resume normal operations starting on the 13th. Of those, 59 stores will also restart online orders and delivery.
According to Homeplus on the 12th, the stores have been temporarily open since the 7th as the company checked operating conditions ahead of the reopening. It will complete any remaining improvements by the 12th and officially resume business on the 13th.
A large-scale discount event to attract customers will also run through the end of this month. For four days starting on the 13th, My Homeplus Membership members will receive discounts of up to 50% on all Hanwoo beef products, while one-ply pork belly and shoulder cuts from the One-Pyeon Pork line will be sold at 40% off.
The signature deli item, "Dangdang Fried Chicken," will be offered from the 14th for three days at around 3,400 won, about half the regular price. Each customer may buy only one chicken, and the Seogwipo branch is excluded from the promotion. In addition, meat, seafood, fruit, snacks, beverages, deli items, and bakery products will be discounted by up to 50% or sold as "1+1" deals depending on the period.
Online sales will also resume. Of the 67 stores reopening normally, 59 will begin taking online orders from the 13th, excluding the Asiad, Nam-Daegu, Samcheok, Boryeong, Ochang, Songtan, Gangneung, and Guwol branches.
A Homeplus official said, "We ask for your continued support so Homeplus can get back on its feet," adding, "We will repay our customers by offering high-quality products at reasonable prices."
