Mother and Son Found Dead in Apartment Fire in Gayang-dong, Seoul; Fall Suspected [Overall]

[Financial News] A mother and son were found dead after a fire broke out at an apartment in Gayang-dong, Gangseo District, Seoul.
According to police and fire authorities on the 11th, the fire started around 4:55 p.m. on the 15th floor of an apartment building in Gayang-dong. Two people died and one person was injured.
A man in his 30s, identified as A, and a woman in her 60s, identified as B, were found in cardiac arrest in a flower bed. They were confirmed to be mother and son. B was reportedly disabled by a brain lesion.
Fire officials believe the two fell from the unit where the fire started.
A woman in her 60s who lived next door to the affected unit was taken to a hospital after inhaling smoke.
Firefighters deployed 25 pieces of equipment and 87 personnel. They brought the main blaze under control about 20 minutes after the fire was reported and fully extinguished it at 6:08 p.m.
Forty residents were confirmed to have evacuated on their own.
Fire authorities plan to investigate the exact cause of the blaze.
