[Financial News] Bitcoin is moving sideways around the $64,000 level. The market appears to be reacting to growing uncertainty over a vote on the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act, a U.S. bill to regulate the crypto market structure.
According to CoinMarketCap at 10:10 a.m. on the 10th, Bitcoin was trading around $64,000, up 0.03% from 24 hours earlier. Over the past week, it has gained 2.73%.
In the Korean won market, Bitcoin is trading around 91 million won. Based on Cryprice, the Korea premium stood at -0.52%.
The chances of the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act passing this year are shrinking. According to foreign media reports, the United States Senate is scheduled to hold its first procedural vote on the bill on the 15th of next month, local time.
With the Senate now in recess, negotiations between the Republican Party and the Democratic Party are expected to be a key factor before the recess ends next month. If the talks fail, passage this year would be effectively impossible, given the approach of the midterm election in November.
The Crypto Fear and Greed Index, provided by CoinMarketCap, stood at 40 on the day, indicating "neutral." The index ranges from 0 to 100, with values closer to 0 signaling "extreme fear" and values closer to 100 indicating "extreme greed."
At the same time, Ethereum was trading around $1,912, down 0.27% from 24 hours earlier. Ripple was trading around $1.03, down 0.64%.
