Three Fishing Boat Passengers Missing off Incheon Coast; Coast Guard Searches Through the Night [Roundup]

[Financial News] Three people who went fishing by motorboat off the coast of Incheon have gone out of contact, prompting a search by the Korea Coast Guard (KCG). With their whereabouts still unknown after the last phone call, the KCG deployed rescue personnel and equipment around the waters near Jawoldo Island in Ongjin County.
According to the KCG on the 10th, a report was received via the 112 Police Emergency Number at around 10:30 p.m. the previous day that contact had been lost with three people, including a husband and an acquaintance, who had gone fishing by motorboat. The boat they used was identified as a 0.28-ton vessel.
The reporter last spoke with her husband and the others at around 7:10 p.m. the previous day. When contact was cut off after that, she filed the report out of concern that an accident may have occurred.
The KCG dispatched rescue teams and patrol vessels to the waters near Jawoldo Island in Ongjin County, Incheon, where the group is believed to have been fishing. Aircraft were also sent to search the wider area.
The KCG also asked the Republic of Korea Navy to assist with the search and rescue operation. It further requested that civilian vessels operating near the accident area immediately report any sighting of the missing people or the motorboat.
