Yoon Ho-jung Orders Full Mobilization of Available Equipment and Personnel in Search for Missing Motorboat in Incheon

Minister of the Interior and Safety Yoon Ho-jung issued an emergency order at around 10:30 p.m. on the 9th, calling on related agencies to devote all efforts to rescuing lives after the motorboat Komo lost its position near Jawoldo in the Ongjin waters off Incheon and lost contact with those on board.
The Komo was a 0.28-ton vessel carrying three people at the time.
Yoon instructed the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, the Korea Coast Guard (KCG), Incheon Metropolitan City Government and Ongjin County to immediately deploy all available equipment, personnel and other resources to carry out a swift and safe rescue.
He also ordered authorities to closely monitor weather and sea conditions in the accident area and to manage the operation thoroughly so that no secondary accident occurs during the rescue process.
Yoon also urged special attention to the safety of rescue personnel deployed to the scene.
