[Financial News] Koo Yun-cheol, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance, said on the 6th that the Korean economy is "stronger than ever and delivering unprecedented results," in response to foreign media reports raising concerns about investment in the Korean stock market.
Koo chaired the Emergency Economic Headquarters meeting and the ministers’ meeting on economic and structural innovation at Government Complex Seoul that day. He said, "Growth, exports, prices, and indicators such as consumer and business sentiment in the Korean economy are all continuing to show a solid trend."
Koo also emphasized, "The government is responding quickly to ease stock market volatility, and the stock index has recently shown signs of stabilization. We will continue efforts to improve the structural fundamentals of the capital market and foster new industries, and make it a more reliable investment destination."
