Magnitude 5.1 earthquake strikes Kumamoto in Japan; "no tsunami threat"

[Financial News] A magnitude 5.1 earthquake struck Kumamoto Prefecture in Japan's Kyushu region, with strong shaking felt across the area, including Nagasaki Prefecture and Kagoshima Prefecture.
According to the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA), the quake occurred at around 7:59 a.m. on the 6th. Its epicenter was in the Amakusa-Ashikita area of Kumamoto Prefecture.
The epicenter was estimated to be about 10 kilometers deep.
The earthquake produced shaking of up to seismic intensity 4 in Unzen, Nagasaki Prefecture; Yatsushiro, Uki, Kamiamakusa and Ashikita in Kumamoto Prefecture; and Nagashima Town in Kagoshima Prefecture.
The Japan Meteorological Agency said, "There is no tsunami threat from this earthquake."
No casualties or damage to facilities have been confirmed so far, and authorities are investigating whether there was any further damage.
