"It Is Difficult to Communicate with the New Supreme Leader"... Iran President First Acknowledges Khamenei's Health Issues

[Financial News] Masoud Pezeshkian, the president of Iran, said it is not easy to communicate with the current Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Sayyid Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, who lost his father during the war with the United States and Israel.
Speaking in a nationally televised interview on the state broadcaster to mark the second anniversary of his inauguration on the 5th local time, Pezeshkian described the situation since former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei died in U.S. and Israeli airstrikes.
He said, "The enemies tried to bring down the country with missile attacks, but we stopped them," adding, "Frustrated, they martyred the Supreme Leader through barbaric attacks."
He went on to say, "Contrary to the enemies' intentions, Iran did not waver and elected a new Supreme Leader," and stressed, "Although it is currently very difficult to communicate with the new Supreme Leader, his very presence is a major source of strength that allows us to continue on this path."
Mojtaba Khamenei, the current Supreme Leader of Iran, is believed to have been injured along with his father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, when U.S. and Israeli airstrikes killed the elder Khamenei on Feb. 28.
Since being elected Supreme Leader, he has not appeared in public for security reasons and did not attend his father's funeral last month. His health condition and exact whereabouts have not been disclosed.
