Japanese Female Influencer Living in Yongsan Dies During Live Broadcast

[Financial News] A Japanese female influencer in her 20s who was staying in South Korea died during a live broadcast.
According to Yonhap News Agency on the 6th, police received a report at 5:33 a.m. the previous day that a Japanese woman in her 20s, identified as A, had attempted to take her own life at an officetel in Hangangno-dong, Yongsan District, Seoul.
A was an influencer with about 80,000 followers. Police believe she died while streaming live on TikTok from the officetel where she lived, and that the scene was shown on the broadcast.
An acquaintance of A reportedly called police, saying, "My friend attempted to take her own life on the broadcast." Posts asking police to respond were also shared on X and other social networking services.
