"I Started Investing With 180 Million Won..." Kim Won-hoon Admits to Losing the Price of a Car

[Financial News] Comedian Kim Won-hoon has shared his experience of failing at stock investing.
Kim Won-hoon revealed in a teaser for the YouTube channel 'Netflix South Korea' video 'Retail Investor Kim Won-hoon: The World of Stocks,' posted on the 3rd, that he started investing with 180 million won and ended up losing 24 million won.
In the teaser, Kim Won-hoon said he suffered losses just two weeks after starting to invest, adding, "I lost almost the price of a car."
He explained, "For someone who has only been investing for two weeks, I had quite a large seed money. I tend to go all in when I start something," and added, "When I get hooked on something, it turns out like this. That is why I do not even play mobile games."
Kim Won-hoon pointed to averaging down as the reason he lost more than 20 million won just two weeks after entering the stock market. He said, "I averaged down way too much. It was almost like I had been to WATERBOMB Music Festival. I just kept adding water," and compared it to how some people drink whisky with water. "I added so much water that there was no taste left at all," he said.
"I lived under the pressure and obsession that I had to lower my average price by adding more money," Kim Won-hoon confessed. "I am telling this with a smile, but I was worn out and lost a lot of weight. I had no appetite or motivation, and wherever I went, I kept moving around like a zombie," he said.
